Careers

We look for people who check twice and commit once.

Trading physical goods rewards sound judgement on partial information and punishes wishful thinking. We want colleagues who are exact by nature and unafraid to decline.

Working here

A small desk, the whole trade, and results you can see.

The team in Denpasar is arranged around divisions, not functions. You stay with a trade from qualifying the origin to the cargo leaving the discharge port, rather than touching one step of many deals. You learn the business faster that way, and mistakes have nowhere to hide.

Anything that matters gets written down. Specifications, inspection scopes, surveyor appointments, payment terms and document lists are drafted as documents before they become obligations. People who resist precise writing tend not to enjoy it here.

Saying no to business is treated as part of the work. No one is judged by how many enquiries become offers — quoting what cannot be delivered is the quickest way to harm a trading book.

What we value

  • Accuracy as a reflex rather than an effort
  • Ease with figures, units and tolerances
  • Raising a problem early instead of quietly absorbing it
  • Professional written English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Real interest in physical goods and how they travel
  • A third Asian language — welcome, never required

Seniority

We take on experienced desk staff as well as people at the start of their careers. For a first role, rigour counts for more than sector history — backgrounds in agronomy, engineering, law, chemistry or shipping all carry over well.

Where we hire

There is no live vacancy board on this page. We review applications against these four areas as they come in, and every applicant hears back.

Trade desk & sourcing

Qualifying origins, building offers, managing open positions and looking after supplier and buyer relationships for one division.

You question a specification sheet before you trust it, and you would give up margin before you would misdescribe a grade.

Documentation & trade finance

Letters of credit, preparing and presenting document sets, legalisation, Indonesian import paperwork and clearing discrepancies.

You have actually worked through UCP 600, and you review a draft credit before the bank issues it.

Operations & logistics

Container and bulk bookings, inter-island and regional shipping, stowage and marking instructions, laycan follow-up and demurrage tracking.

You understand that choosing FOB or FCA changes who does what on the quay, not just the wording.

Quality & compliance

Maintaining specification libraries, scoping surveyor work, classifying dangerous goods, counterparty screening and keeping the records straight.

You are at ease being the one who says a cargo is not yet ready to leave.

  1. 01

    State the discipline

Put it in the subject line. An application that names no desk is hard to route.

  2. 02

    CV plus a brief note

The note counts for more than the CV. Half a page, in English or Bahasa Indonesia, on why this area appeals to you — written by you, not a template.

  3. 03

    One example of your work

Not required, but it helps a great deal: a specification you drafted, a discrepancy you fixed, an error you caught before the goods shipped.

  4. 04

    You will hear back

Every application gets an answer, including those we cannot take forward. We do not screen by silence.

Candidate submissions from recruitment agencies we have not engaged are not accepted.
